The king of the orb weavers is the golden orb weavers. they are named for their silk, which is in fact gold colored. Golden orb weavers build the world’s largest webs, often catching birds and frogs. The more comman gold orb weaver's web is around three feet across. the Madagascar golden orb weaver's web  however reaches six feet across. Orb weaver webs aren't just Large, they are also very strong. so strong in fact that they are nearly as tough as the strongest man made material.
